2020 Salentein Portillo Malbec is a wine produced by Bodegas Salentein in the Mendoza area in Argentina, single varietal Malbec.

A powerful wine, with body and character, very varietal ‘Malbec’, which in sight leaves us in glass stop a red color, deep, covered, intense, quite high layer, with reflections in movement.

On the nose, with a medium to high intensity, initially we perceive hints of red fruit, light touches of black fruit, and light ripe aromas. These primary aromas are accompanied by hints of aging, highlighting the presence of powerful aromas of coffee and toffee, hints of caramel, toast.

The attack on the palate is powerful and full of character. Good acidity that allows it to leave us a very good structure, with good refinement and good aging capacity. Fleshy, tasty, powerful, very good volume on the palate. Great persistence and a long finish.

A very good wine that goes well with any type of meat dishes. Very good reflection of the Mendoza terroir and of this varietal so typical of this area of Argentina.

A wine that after its tasting deserves the qualification of Very Good reaching a score of 90 points.
