Bodega Trivento Introduces World’s First White Malbec
The world’s number one Argentinian wine brand, Bodega Trivento, celebrates April 17, Malbec World Day, with the launch of Trivento White Malbec 2022 in the United States. The dry white wine will be available in New York, Florida, and Georgia and retails for a suggested price of $11.
An industry leader for more than two decades, Bodega Trivento spearheads category innovation by pioneering the world’s first white Malbec. The White Malbec is a career milestone for winemaker Maxi Ortiz and represents vinicultural experimentation that began in 2018. First launched domestically in 2019, the winemaking team has further perfected the White Malbec by harvesting earlier and using proprietary winemaking methods, ensuring freshness and its crystalline appearance. Finally, after four years of successive growth and refining the winemaking process, Trivento is introducing White Malbec to the American market.
«Consumers are excited to experience Malbec in a brand new way,» stated winemaker Maxi Ortiz. «We’re creating an entirely new category of Malbec, and consumer response has been overwhelmingly positive.» Ortiz added, «Made from our estate-grown fruit from Uco Valley and Luján de Cuyo, the 2022 vintage shows notes of green apple, tropical fruit, and bright acidity with a crisp and balanced finish.»
Bodegas Trivento has championed innovation from its inception. Today it continues to make strides ranging from achieving B-corp certification, certifying its reserve and estate wines vegan, and improving social and environmental initiatives. A portion of the proceeds from sales of White Malbec will fund secondary-school scholarships in the winery’s home base of Mendoza, Argentina. Trivento has partnered with the Argentinian educational organization FonBec to fund 50 annual scholarships. In addition, sales from the White Malbec Trivento will support a part-time satellite high school for adults which Bodegas Trivento established in 2008.
