2019 Termes

2019 Termes is a wine produced by Bodega Numanthia under the D.O. Toro, single varietal Tinta de Toro. Powerful wine, 15% vol, although it is the one made from the youngest vines owned by the winery with ages ranging between 30 and 50 years.

Complex, powerful, very from the terroir of Toro, with a vinification that leaves us an aging of 16 months in French oak barrels (20% is new of 225 and 400 liters and the rest is second use), with rackings every 4 months.

In view leaves us a very intense cherry red color, very covered, high layer, bright and clean in glass stop.

Nose with high intensity, complex but at the same time fresh, with a strong presence of red and black fruit, with very marked hints of blackberry, wild strawberries and cherries. When the glass is aired, the contributions of the ageing process are evident, with spicy touches, white pepper, hints of rosemary, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Intense, full-bodied and velvety on the palate, with very good acidity that gives it a very good structure. Balanced, round, with lots of fruit as on the nose. Spicy touches of cocoa, toast or mocha. Very good persistence and a really long finish.

A very characteristic wine of the Toro area that remains somewhat below the older brothers that this winery produces.

A wine this Termes 2019 that, after its tasting, deserves the qualification of Excellent, reaching a score of 92 points.
