2020 Dr. Bürklin Wolf Riesling Trocken
2020 Dr. Bürklin Wolf Riesling Trocken a Riesling with a difference in its tasting, produced with biodynamic viticulture in the Palatinate area. Produced by the Dr. Bürklin Wolf winery under the VDF Pfalz appellation.
Made with grapes from vineyards in Wachenheim, Deidesheim and Ruppertsberger with biodynamic viticulture since 2001.
A wine that shows very marked varietal characteristics, most probably due to the biodynamic cultivation.
In the glass we find a golden yellow wine with straw-coloured hues, very clean, bright, with greenish reflections in movement.
This Riesling is dry when tasted, with a very marked varietal nose, with a fruity presence, hints of green apples, limes, stone fruit (peaches), accompanied after aerating the glass by soft floral notes.
Very fresh attack on the palate, with excellent acidity, a vibrant passage through the palate where it leaves a medium volume. Great persistence, quite long finish with a very clear touch of minerality.
A Riesling different from the usual ones I have tasted, more nuanced, more marked, different and very interesting. It is well worth tasting.
A wine that after its tasting deserves the qualification of Excellent, reaching a score of 92 points.
