2015 Araldica Campo del Senatore Barbera d’Asti Superiore
2015 Araldica Campo del Senatore Barbera d’Asti Superiore is a wine from Italy that is produced in the Piedmont area, DOGC Barbera d’Asti and that comes to us from the Araldica winery. Single varietal Barbera very typical of this Italian area.
With a medium body we find the tasting of this wine that presents a fairly smoothed tannic tannins, with a dry touch at the beginning in the palate and with a very good acidity that helps to show good structure, aging capacity and potential for refinement in the bottle.
In view leaves us a cherry red color of medium layer, bright and clean, quite covered, with certain ruby reflections in movement of the glass.
On the nose we find a wine that presents a very fragrant medium intensity, with a strong presence of red fruit such as cherries, red berries, red currants, cranberries and raspberries. It also leaves aromas of black fruit, plums, blackberries and cassis. It is accompanied by tertiary contributions from aging and time in bottle, with hints of oak (wood), chocolate, bitter chocolate, vanilla, tobacco and coffee.
Quite fresh attack, good acidity, very latent fruit, spicy contributions from barrel aging. Medium volume, medium pace, good persistence and a medium finish. A very gastronomic wine for pairing with many Italian dishes without a doubt.
A wine that after tasting deserves the rating of Good, reaching a score of 88 points.
