2017 Porca De Murça Reserva Tinto
Today we travel to Portugal, specifically to the Douro area, to bring you this wine, Porca De Murça Reserva Tinto 2017, produced by Real Companhia Velha and in which we find a blend with the presence of the varietals Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional.
A powerful wine, 14.5% vol., full-bodied, with a considerable tannic presence, with an initially dry touch in the tasting and with a very adequate level of acidity that allows it to leave us a good structure that undoubtedly helps it to have aging potential and growth in the bottle.
In the glass we find a dark cherry colored wine, well covered, bright and clean. Reflections in movement that show an evolved wine.
Medium-high intensity on the nose. Complex, with lots of ripe fruit, spicy touches, toasted, coffee, roasted, with mineral contributions in the background.
Curiously fresh attack on the palate, with lots of fruit. The acidity, as I mentioned, is medium, which gives it a very interesting growth potential. The tannins are present and well worked. It leaves a medium persistence and a fairly long finish.
A Douro wine that after tasting deserves the rating of Very Good, reaching a score of 91 points.
