2017 Monte Sasso Primitivo di Manduria
2017 Monte Sasso Primitivo di Manduria is a wine from Italy, a red wine from Puglia, in the south of the country. Produced under Puglia IGT. Primitive single varietal.
A wine that in the visual phase of the tasting leaves us in the glass a ruby red colour, of medium intensity, bright and clean, with violet reflections in movement.
On the nose, with a medium-high intensity, the tertiary aromas are well perceived, with a notable presence of black fruit aromas such as very ripe black cherries, cassis and plums,
On the palate the attack is delicate, with good acidity that clashes with the sweetness of the very ripe grapes, leaving a warm passage through the palate, where it shows a medium volume. Good persistence, fairly long finish, with a meaty touch. The tannins are present and rather soft.
Interesting primitive single varietal wine, as I mentioned earlier, which allows us to see what this grape contributes to the wines in which it appears, both as a single varietal and as part of a coupage with other grapes. It seems to me to be a very good gastronomic wine.
A wine that deserves the qualification of Very Good, reaching a score of 89 points. Good CPR that allows you to enjoy a good tasting without too many complications.
