2017 Bravuro Cellars Serrato
2017 Bravuro Cellars Serrato is a wine made in the area of Lodi, Central Valley California, USA, complex in its elaboration since we find a blend in which Petite Sirah, Shiraz/Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo appear. It is produced by the winery that gives its name to the wine, Bravuro Cellars.
Powerful in terms of alcohol content, at 15% vol. but complex at the same time due to the different contributions of each grape. A lot of tannic presence, although as it has been in bottle for some time, it has been softening. Full-bodied and voluminous, with great acidity and a marked touch of dryness that is mitigated as we move forward in the tasting.
On the nose, with high intensity, there are contributions to black fruit such as blackberries, berries, red fruit such as raspberries or cherries, with spicy contributions from aging with clear presence of spicy touches such as pepper or white pepper, toasted wood and some balsamic.
Characterful attack on the palate, slightly ripe fruit, very good acidity. Very good structure, with a fleshy, tasty, very good volume, quite long. Very good persistence and a long finish.
A frankly interesting wine to have this range of varietals in its production. After tasting it deserves the rating of Very Good, reaching a score of 91 points.
