2018 Livius Rosado Fermentado en Barrica Reserva

2018 Livius Rosado Fermentado en Barrica Reserva is a wine produced by Bodegas Alvia under the protection of the DOCa Rioja as a single varietal Garnacha wine.

As a differentiating element in its production, this wine is fermented in French oak barrels, where it is subsequently aged for 12 months and, after spending a few more months in the bottle refining, it is released to the market.

It perfectly combines the freshness of this type of wine with the complexity provided by the aging in barrels, without taking away any of the fresh and fruity Garnacha grape variety.

Bodegas Alvia presents us in its tasting this wine with a strawberry color with hints of raspberry, very intense, with very good layer, very bright and clean in stop coma and bluish reflections in movement.

High intensity on the nose, complex, full of fruit, mainly red, floral contributions, with spicy touches from aging in wood, toasted and minerality. As I said, complex and very well balanced.

Powerful attack on the palate, full of character, with lots of fruit, great acidity that helps to leave a great structure and aging capacity, tannins present very well worked. Ample volume on the palate. Great persistence and a very long finish.

Undoubtedly a really excellent rosé wine that, after its tasting, deserves the qualification of Excellent, reaching a score of 93+ points.

A truly different rosé wine that is well worth a leisurely tasting.
