ProWein Düsseldorf 2026

March 15–17, 2026 · Düsseldorf, Germany

The world’s most important professional wine trade fair opens its doors with an unprecedented transformation. At a time of structural adjustments in consumption, falling volumes and pricing pressure, the organisation has decided to take a bold new direction — repositioning itself with a new concept, a new visual identity and, above all, a new philosophy: “Shape, Create, Elevate”.

A new fair model

Routes through the fair will be 30% shorter: the new floor plan allows professionals to complete their meeting agendas far more efficiently, avoiding the lengthy walks of previous editions. Key countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Austria have reorganised their spaces to offer a more intuitive navigation by region and wine style.

The last edition of ProWein 2025 welcomed 4,200 exhibitors from 65 countries and 42,000 trade visitors from 128 countries. For this edition, around 4,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries are expected, 500 of which will be part of ProSpirits, reflecting the growing importance of the spirits sector.

Major new thematic spaces

Among the most anticipated innovations: ProWein Zero (Hall 5) includes no/low-alcohol spirits for the first time, featuring a Zero Tasting Bar curated by Meininger publishing house where professionals can discover more than 60 international brands. Director Frank Schindler states that “No/Low is not a passing trend, but a growing market segment.” ProWein Sparkling (Hall 4) is a brand-new space dedicated to sparkling wines, complete with its own bar, speed tastings and sessions. The ProWein Agora Stage offers more than 12 hours of conferences, panel discussions and visionary talks with international speakers.

The ProSpirits segment occupies two full halls (5 and 7) for the first time, with 500 exhibitors from 50 countries. As geographic debutants, Montenegro and Azerbaijan will make their first-ever appearance at the fair.

Technology and networking: the digital leap

The organisation has launched the ProWein App, which centralises information and services: visitors can browse the full exhibitor list, access detailed profiles, receive personalised suggestions and navigate with an interactive hall map. Entry to the venue is managed via QR code integrated directly into the app.

The “Fair Match” matchmaking tool has been improved and given a central stage: the Live Fair Match Arena, where exhibitors and visitors can arrange high-value meetings on site. This is complemented by the Insight-to-Action Framework (I2A), a concept based on a major industry survey set to redefine the trade fair model.

Special focus on key buyers

With the new Buyers Concierge Team, ProWein is reaching out directly to top international buyers — initially from the US, Canada, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. For buyers within a 350-kilometre radius, the ProWein Express Service provides free shuttle buses from central locations in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
