2019 Clearsprings Lucido Pinot Grigio
2019 Clearsprings Lucido Pinot Grigio is a wine that we can find in the British chain of supermarkets Sainsbury’s. It is a white wine from Sicily, Terre Siciliane.
A classic vi no Pinot, varietal, fruity, crisp, floral and quite aromatic.
In the visual phase of the tasting we find in a still glass a wine that leaves a pale straw yellow colour, of medium brightness but very clean. Averdosados reflections in movement of the glass.
Very fresh nose, of medium intensity, smooth, with a strong presence of white fruit, with hints of pear, citrus, floral notes that intensify when the glass is aired and flowers.
The palate has a fresh attack, with white fruit (pears, apples, tamarind…) and citrus fruits as in the nose. Very good acidity that allows to enjoy a crisp and vibrant passage through the palate. Slightly dry at times. Medium volume, good persistence and medium finish, with a latent touch of bitterness.
Being as it is a supermarket brand, the value for money seems to me to be very good, making it an interesting option to learn more about Pinot Grigio and Sicilian wines, so that we can compare them with those produced by this varietal in other parts of the world.
A wine that after its tasting deserves the qualification of Good, reaching a score of 88 points. Very easy to drink, fresh, for a good hot afternoon of drinking or accompanying a not too powerful dish.
