2016 Bonpas Grand Orateur Rasteau

2016 Bonpas Grand Orateur Rasteau is a wine produced in France, in the Rhône Valley (southern part of this area, Rasteu region), under the protection of the Côtes du Rhône AOC, made with a coupage in which we find Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre.

A wine that is smooth and light, medium-bodied and easy to drink.

In the visual phase of the tasting, we find a wine that in a still glass leaves a ruby colour of medium intensity, bright and clean.

On the nose, with a medium intensity, there are aromas of mainly red fruit, with floral, light mineral, herbaceous and some spicy aromas from its time in oak barrels.

On the palate it has a pleasant entry, quite fresh, with a lot of acidity that helps it to leave a vibrant passage through the palate, where it shows a medium volume. The red fruit returns as in the nose. The tannins are present, leaving a slight touch of dryness. It leaves a good persistence and a medium finish. Aftertaste with presence of fruit and light spices.

It is not a wine of enormous character like other wines from this area but, nevertheless, it is a very pleasant wine that invites you to continue drinking after each sip. It is a good wine for drinking as well as for food and wine pairing.

A wine that after its tasting deserves the qualification of Very Good, reaching a score of 89 points.
