Máis de Cunqueiro 2023
The Máis de Cunqueiro 2023 is one of the most interesting white wines from the winery Bodegas Cunqueiro, within the D.O. Ribeiro, and it represents very well the Galician Atlantic style: fresh, aromatic, and with good structure thanks to ageing on lees.
The Máis de Cunqueiro 2023 is an Atlantic and gastronomic-style white wine, made from a blend of native Galician grape varieties such as Albariño, Godello, Treixadura, and Loureira (and others in smaller proportions depending on the vineyard plot).
It is a wine designed to combine freshness + fruit + volume, moving away from simple and light white wines.
Visually, it shows a bright straw-yellow colour, very clean, with greenish reflections, highly expressive in the glass and typical of young Atlantic white wines.
On the nose, it is very aromatic and complex, with notes of ripe white fruit (apple, pear, peach), soft tropical hints, fresh citrus touches, herbal and floral nuances, and a slightly mineral and saline background.
On the palate, it has a fresh but full-bodied entry, a slightly creamy texture (from the lees), lively but well-balanced acidity, a very fruity and flavoursome mid-palate, and a long finish with a saline and slightly oily touch.
