2021 Brightwater Bay Sauvignon Blanc
2021 Brightwater Bay Sauvignon Blanc is a single varietal Sauvignon Blanc wine made in New Zealand, Marlborough area, by the producer Kaimira Winery. It is a very young wine, without oak ageing and stainless steel tank work.
It is undoubtedly a very varietal wine, with a really fresh, vibrant and fruity palate. Very much in the style of the SB wines from this area.
In view it is a wine that in a still glass leaves us with a straw yellow colour in view, with green reflections in movement. Very bright and clean.
On the nose it presents a medium intensity, with a lot of fruit presence, with clear aromas of citrus, grapefruit, lime, as well as tropical aromas such as guava, kiwi, lychees. Hints of green apples. When the glass is aired, herbaceous notes appear.
The palate has a fresh, smooth attack, with lively acidity, lots of fruit, tropical and citrus. Medium volume on the palate. Good persistence and medium finish.
A very typical single varietal Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, so no surprises abound. Very easy to drink, ideal for drinking as a cocktail wine, but also good for pairing with light dishes.
This is a wine that after tasting deserves the rating of Very Good, reaching a score of 88+ points.
