2020 Vaz Branco Viognier
This Vaz Branco Viognier 2020 is a wine made in Brazil, more specifically by the Vaz winery in Morro do Chapéu, in the Chapada Diamantina. Sourced from vineyards at an altitude of 1,150 meters.
A very young wine, without aging, which in view leaves us a straw yellow color with lemony touches, very clean and bright, retaining some greenish reflections although it has been in bottle for some time.
Nose of medium intensity with a lot of fruity aromas, highlighting citrus fruits and tropical contributions such as passion fruit.
The palate has a very fresh attack, although it is no longer a wine of the year, with a light and pleasant structure on the palate, low body, balanced acidity, with a fruity aftertaste and a touch of wild passion fruit that also appeared on the nose.
A wine that after tasting deserves the rating of Good, reaching a score of 88 points. Very easy to drink, without too much complexity, very fresh and fruity.
A very good opportunity to enjoy the young white wines from Brazil, something that is not very easy to do but always very interesting to be able to compare these wines with others made with the same varietal in other parts of the world.
