2020 Fleurie Thibault Ducroux

2020 Fleurie Thibault Ducroux is a natural single varietal Gamay wine, from vineyards with pink granite soils, which presents a carbonic maceration with indigenous yeasts. It is aged for 8 months in 225-liter used foudre.

Produced by the Thibault Ducroux winery in the Beaujolais area of France. The grapes with which it is made are 50 years old, organically certified vineyards.

A wine that unites very well the freshness of the fruit with the complexity that gives it the passage through the wood barrels.

Intense cherry red color, very bright, clean, with violet and purple reflections in the movement of the glass.

Nose of medium intensity, with lots of fruit, powerful, red fruit, light touches of maturity, floral touches, minerality – vegetable, light spicy contributions, soft aromas of wood.

In the mouth it is a wine of soft attack, with lots of fruit, hints of ripe fruit, very good acidity that gives it very good structure, while elegant on the palate and vibrant. Combines youth and complexity. Very good volume (medium) on the palate, very good persistence and a fairly long finish.

Good cellaring potential, to be tasted now or in 5 years.

A wine that after tasting deserves the rating of Excellent, reaching a score of 92+ points.
