2018 Martinez Bermell Merlot
Today we taste the wine 2018 Martinez Bermell Merlot, a wine that is elaborated in the Vera de Estenas estate, located in Valencia. A single varietal merlot wine that has a malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels of 225 liters. A wine of character with 14.5% vol.
In the visual phase of its tasting we are talking about a wine with a garnet red color and cherry rim. It has a very intense tear and good density. It is a clean and bright wine.
In the nose we find a wine that combines very well the aromas of red fruits with hints of menthol and eucalyptus. The marked profile of the “Merlot” variety adds a very appealing freshness to the bouquet.
Finally, on the palate we find a wine that gives us a very intense entry. The passage through the tongue is fresh and expressive. The power of the tannins is very well compensated by the marked acidity. The aftertaste is dominated by notes of red fruit compote, dried flowers and noble wood.
A wine with a lot of character and personality that, after tasting, deserves the rating of Very Good, reaching a score of 91 points.
