Alma Rosa Winery Announces “First Fridays” Event Series and Quarterly Estate Dinners Through 2026
Stefan Mutalich, president of Alma Rosa Winery, a leading producer of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Rhône varietal wines from Santa Barbara County’s Sta. Rita Hills AVA is pleased to introduce a new series of events designed to bring people together through shared experiences centered around wine, place and community. Events will be available at the Alma Rosa Tasting Room located in downtown Solvang, as well as at the breathtakingly scenic Alma Rosa Estate located in the Sta. Rita Hills.
In Solvang, held on the first Friday of each month from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Alma Rosa’s “First Fridays” invites the community to gather at the winery’s tasting room, located at 1623 Mission Drive, for an evening of wine, live music and themed experiences. Each event is free to attend and features special offerings on wine by the glass and bottle for on-site enjoyment.
Upcoming “First Fridays” events include:
- May 1: Live music by Nataly Lola, with a Mother’s Day card-making station
- June 5: Live music by Shawn Jones, alongside a local food offering
- July 3: Live music by Will Breman, complemented by a classic summertime pairing of hot dogs and watermelon
- August 7: Live music by Jineanne Coderre, celebrating the season with a playful back-to-school theme
In Buellton, at Alma Rosa’s “El Jabali” Estate nestled in the Sta. Rita Hills, the winery is rolling out intimate quarterly dinners. These small gatherings will take place at the winery’s private residence, offering guests rare access to the modern home that overlooks the vineyards, met with a curated, multi-course menu prepared by one of the region’s top chefs, thoughtfully paired with Alma Rosa’s estate wines.
The next dinner will be held on Saturday, June 20, from 4-7 p.m., in celebration of the summer solstice. Guests will enjoy an elegant, seasonal menu designed to reflect the vibrancy of early summer, with each course paired to highlight the nuance and character of the wines.
“Creating opportunities for guests to connect—with our wines, our estate and each other—is at the heart of what we do at Alma Rosa,” says Matulich. “First Fridays are designed to be relaxed and welcoming, inviting guests to gather over a glass of wine, while our estate dinners offer a more immersive experience, a chance to slow down, explore the wines in greater depth and enjoy this gorgeous property in a more personal setting.”
