Galadino

Galadino, Sangiovese di Romagna DOC is an “everyday” wine produced by the Schenk Italia Wineries group, founded in Reggio Emilia, which later moved its headquarters to Alto Adige, in Ora (Bolzano), where the first winery linked to the production territory was established. It is a wine that we could define as one for “daily drinking”.

The soils of Romagna lie along the axis between Bologna, Forlì and Cesena, close to the inland hills, in line with the Apennines, forming a clay-limestone terroir perfectly suited to the production of great red wines.

The Romagna Sangiovese denomination is the most important in the area, both in terms of quality and quantity. It typically presents notes of sour cherry, baked plum and herbs, sometimes with a touch of fresh tobacco.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Ruby red colour with violet reflections, of medium depth and good clarity.

Nose: Aromatic with a delicate bouquet reminiscent of violets, with vinous and fruity notes. Ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum also emerge, with light herbaceous touches.

Palate: Harmonious and lightly tannic, with a pleasantly bitter finish, characteristic and very typical of the variety. Fresh, easy-drinking and with good acidity.

As mentioned earlier, this is an everyday, accessible wine and a faithful ambassador of Sangiovese di Romagna: fresh, fruity and with that characteristic bitter touch that makes it highly versatile at the table.
