Rozès Porto Infanta Isabel 10 Years Old
Rozès Porto Infanta Isabel 10 Years Old NV is a fortified wine made in the Portuguese region of Port. 20% vol. with a participation in its blend of the varietals Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cao, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Nacional. Produced by Bodega Rozès. As indicated in its name, a wine with 10 years of aging in wood.
It goes without saying that this is a ‘powerful’ wine in its tasting, complex, full-bodied and complex. Sweet wine with a very good balance between sweetness and acidity given by the grapes, which helps it to leave a very good persistence (mainly in the mouth), as well as an enormous capacity for aging in the bottle.
In a still glass it leaves a characteristic deep, intense, dark amber color, typical of Port fortified wines, slightly cloudy.
The nose is complex, very intense, with hints of plums and raisins, dates, dried fruits, figs and honey.
The attack on the palate shows its sweetness from the beginning, not cloying, and very well balanced with the acidity of the grapes as I mentioned above. Lots of hints of honey, dried fruits, ample, voluminous, long, with very good persistence and a really long finish.
A wine that after tasting deserves the rating of Excellent.
