2021 Blaneo Garnacha Grand Gold in Awards Virtus 2023
- The International Awards Virtus 2023 competition chooses Blaneo Garnacha 2021, this same wine has been chosen as the Best Red Garnacha of Navarra in the Selection of the Wines DO Navarra 2023.
The red wine Blaneo Garnacha 2021 made by Bodega Pagos de Araiz, belonging to Masaveu Bodegas, has been awarded a Grand Gold Medal at the Awards Virtus 2023 International Competition. The communication director of Masaveu Bodegas, Teresa Muñoz, collected the award yesterday during the Gala dinner held at the Wellington Hotel in Madrid. Blaneo Garnacha was one of the 37 red wines that received this Grand Gold medal.
This is the 5th edition of the International Competition of Wines, Spirits and Olive Oils «International Awards Virtus» which took place in Lisbon on 4, 5 and 6 March 2023 and in which an international and representative tasting panel has chosen the best wines.
Blaneo Garnacha 2021 is a cherry red wine, aged for eight months in French and American oak barrels. It is the result of the dedication and exclusive experimentation of this winemaking brand whose technicians have carefully selected vineyards of the Garnacha variety in different areas of the Lower Mountains of Navarra and have controlled them throughout the process, from pruning to harvesting. The vineyards are more than 80 years old and are spread over small plots located in several municipalities in Navarra. For Teresa Muñoz, communications director, «this medal is another incentive to continue our efforts to design and produce quality wines in Navarra, such as this Blaneo Garnacha, which is having a tremendous success in the market».
This same wine has recently been chosen as the Best Red Garnacha of Navarra in the Selection of DO Navarra Wines 2023.
