2020 Vaz Rosé
2020 Vaz Rosé is a wine that is made in Brazil, more specifically it is made by the Bahian winery Vaz in Morro do Chapéu, in the Chapada Diamantina. It comes from vineyards at an altitude of 1,150 meters.
It is elaborated with a really interesting coupage since in its elaboration it has the presence of the varietals Malbec, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, which undoubtedly gives it a complexity and a differentiating element with respect to other rosés in other parts of the world (besides being vineyards at a high altitude of 1,150 meters as I mentioned before).
An intense pink color, very bright and clean, with a medium layer and some raspberry reflections in movement of the glass.
Nose of fairly high intensity for a rosé wine, with a predominance of red fruit aromas (strawberries, blackberries, …), although there are citrus touches provided by the white varietals, as well as light tropical touches.
A very fresh attack on the palate, which anticipates a step that shows light, soft, pleasant, very easy to drink, with great acidity that gives it a lot of freshness throughout the palate, which leaves us a medium body, with a lot of presence of red fruit, good persistence and a medium to long finish.
A wine that after its tasting deserves the qualification of Very Good, reaching a score of 89+ points.
