2020 Casa Jix Xamaika is a wine produced in Mexico by Casa Jix winery, located in the city of Leon in the state of Guanajuato. The winery defines it as a red hibiscus wine, made in a natural and artisanal way from Jamaica Rose. A wine that is made with 12º vol.

In the glass it shows a bright cherry color, with a medium layer. Movement in the glass with good tear and very fluid.

Nose of medium intensity with a lot of fruit aromas, mainly red fruit. Touches of aging as contributions to wood. Floral aromas, mainly hibiscus, as it could not be otherwise.

In the mouth it presents a fresh attack, with the typical sweetness of semi-sweet wines with a balanced acidity that helps it to present a good structure. Medium volume that covers well the palate where it shows an elegant and vibrant step. Very good persistence and a fairly long finish.

A very different wine from the reds we are used to in these lands. After tasting it deserves the rating of Very Good, reaching a score of 89 points.
