2019 Skouras Viognier Cuvee Larsinos
2019 Skouras Viognier Cuvee Larsinos is a wine from Greece, produced in the Peloponnese area by the Skouras winery and, as its name suggests, single varietal Viognier.
Aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks for 70% and another 30% in new French oak barrels with its fine lees, which undoubtedly gives it complexity, structure and very good aging capacity.
In view leaves us a straw yellow and golden color, very clean and bright, medium layer, with steely and citrus reflections in movement of the glass.
The nose presents a lot of fruit with a high intensity, citrus contributions, with hints of stone fruit such as apricots or peaches, with tropical touches such as mango or pineapple, with contributions from the aging that leave hints of vanilla, coconut, butter, touches of wood. Herbaceous and floral with slight minerality.
Fresh but dry attack on the palate, with very good acidity that gives it some structure. Medium volume on the palate with lots of fruit as on the nose. Creamy, slightly unctuous palate. Very good persistence and medium finish.
This is a very appetizing wine, very easy to drink, with a Mediterranean character that after tasting deserves the rating of Very Good, reaching a score of 90 points.
Very interesting for those who like Viogniers, as it allows tasting a more Mediterranean wine than those produced in other areas of the world.
