2019 Finca Villalobillos Airén de Pie Franco, a wine that is produced by Bodegas García de Lara, in Villarubia de Santiago, under the VT de Castilla, with a graduation of 13.5% vol. A single varietal Airén wine.

In the visual phase we find a very clean and bright wine, which shows a nice pale lemon yellow color and a steely rim.

On the nose, freshly opened and in a still glass, we get very fresh aromas, more herbaceous than fruity. When we let the glass air, some hints of pear, tropical fruit, citrus and melon begin to appear.

After a while, it reveals some aromas of ripe melon, scrubland and evolution, highlighting the French pastries, but always retaining a very personal freshness.

On the palate we again highlight the freshness of this wine, which starts with a very friendly entry and has a very consistent passage through the mouth. It has a very balanced alcohol content with acidity, which allows it to have a lot of body, without being heavy at any time.

It makes you salivate a lot once you have swallowed it, which, together with the other characteristics, makes it a very gastronomic wine, to accompany, for example, roasted peppers or a semi-cured cow’s cheese or blend.

It could easily withstand another year, or a year and a half in bottle.
