2019 Anakena Merlot
2019 Anakena Merlot is a wine made in the Central Valley area of Chile as a single varietal Merlot. It comes from the Anakena winery, located in the Alto Cachapoal, in the foothills of the Andes. This wine is aged in oak barrels that give complexity to an already complex Merlot.
In the visual phase of the tasting we find a wine that leaves us with a bright purple color with violet reflections. Bright and clean.
The nose presents a high intensity, with the appearance of fruit, such as notes of ripe berries, complemented by hints of oak and vanilla from the aging in barrels when the glass is aired.
On the palate it is a wine with a powerful attack, good acidity, tasty on the palate, leaving notes of juicy fruit. The ageing notes are followed by hints of spices. Tannins with volume and a pleasant aftertaste. Medium volume in the mouth with medium body, very good persistence and a fairly long finish.
A wine that after tasting deserves the rating of Very Good, reaching a score of 89+ points.
