2018 La Vieille Ferme Rouge

2018 La Vieille Ferme Rouge is a wine produced in France, under the A.O.C. Luberon, a region located in the southern Rhône. Luberon, a region located in the south of the Rhone.

A young wine, in terms of tasting sensations, although the winery indicates that it spends 10 months aging in tanks and large oak barrels. Fermentation in cement tanks, which gives it a certain roughness on the palate.

It has in its blend the presence of the varietals Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah.

A fresh wine, without too much complexity, which presents a very simple drinking without much more contribution in its tasting.

In the visual phase it leaves a red color with purple tones in movement, although it has been in bottle for some time.

A nose of medium to low intensity. Lots of fruit, and a touch of maturity due to its time in bottle. Cherry, cherry, redcurrant,… Slight minerality in the background. Pleasant aromas of red fruit and Morello cherries.

In the mouth it presents a fresh attack, soft step, without much body. Easy to drink as I said, slightly high acidity. Medium volume, correct persistence and not too long finish.

A wine that after tasting deserves the qualification of Good reaching a score of 87 points.
